We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Trade Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a background as a skilled tradesman, coupled with exceptional sales prowess, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments within the company. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving sales, managing client relationships, overseeing projects, and fostering cohesion across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Sales:

  • Utilize your trade expertise to identify and pursue sales opportunities within the target market.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through proactive prospecting and networking efforts.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Present product/service offerings to clients, articulating their value propositions and addressing client needs.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales to achieve or exceed revenue targets.

2) Estimation and Project Management:

  • Collaborate closely with the Quantity Surveyor/Estimator/Project Manager to accurately assess project requirements and provide comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Ensure seamless project execution by coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing timely updates and resolving any concerns.

3) Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with management, administrative staff, and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies and project objectives with company goals.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with office personnel, providing necessary project documentation and updates.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by actively engaging with colleagues and contributing to a culture of teamwork and mutual support.


4) Lead Generation and Business Development:

  • Take ownership of lead generation efforts by leveraging your existing network, attending industry events, and actively seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales and marketing strategies.
  • Continuously seek ways to expand the company's client base and enhance its market presence through innovative sales and business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a tradesman in [specific trade field].
  • Demonstrated success in sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion.
